Modern society has in large aspects fallen away from God. We have our main focus on TV, cellphone, video games, media and entertainment rather than reading the Bible and seeking God's face. We don't know what a holy God means anymore. Even Christians are watching porn. Teachings about the afterlife, eternal life, heaven and hell, God's wrath over sin, God's judgement over unbelief and sin is seldom preached nowadays. The church has in several aspects adapted to the secular world's standards for life. We take the Bible's warnings about sin lightly.

2024 - Apostasy and idolatry
Idolatry is widespread today but is almost never preached about. Breaking God's law is today as common as seeing the dentist or drinking a glass of water or just saying good morning. We do it all the time without blinking. Throughout history God has always punished the children of Israel, struck them with enemies when they have been disobedient, walking in ungodliness and worshipped other Gods. What can the modern world expect from God today? God always warns first. Then comes the judgment.
"You shall have no other gods before me."

The Golden calf and modern idol worship
Anything that we put above or at the same level as God is an idol and God strictly prohibits it. An idol can be anytihng: money, sex, drugs, porn, sports, health and fitness, fame, belongings, entertainment.

Read Jeremiah 29:4-18
It starts very nice. "Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, to all the exiles whom I have sent into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat their produce. Take wives and have sons and daughters; take wives for your sons, and give your daughters in marriage, that they may bear sons and daughters; multiply there, and do not decrease."

And then he speaks to those that are left in the city: "thus says the Lord concerning the king who sits on the throne of David, and concerning all the people who dwell in this city, your kinsmen who did not go out with you into exile: ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, behold, I am sending on them sword, famine, and pestilence, and I will make them like vile figs that are so rotten they cannot be eaten. I will pursue them with sword, famine, and pestilence, and will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, a terror, a hissing, and a reproach among all the nations where I have driven them,"

What will the future bring?
I have spoken to two christian leaders about the apostasy in Sweden and God's wrath and if God could send war to us as a result of this. Both said yes. Great tribulations and persecutions are coming. The world is being prepared for the reign of the Antichrist.
Three examples of suffering
I will here describe three different reasons and ways to suffer.
Example number 1 - rigtheous suffering with God's full blessing. Suffering as a true follower of Jesus Christ like Paul the Apostle. He suffered to God's glory being arrested, stoned, beaten and beheaded testifying about Jesus Christ.
"But he who endures to the end will be saved." (Give your life for your faith in Jesus will be rewarded by God.)
Matthew 24:13
Example number 2 - unrigtheous suffering, suffering under God's wrath and judgement like the cities of Sodom and Gomorra, the world under Noah's flood, King Herod that was eaten by worms and died or the entire army of Pharaoh who drowned in the red sea.
Example number 3 - suffering under God's temporary punishment, chastisement, education that will humble and lead to repentance as King Nebukadnessar who was driven from men, and ate grass as oxen to be humbled and to repent or Paul the apostle who became blind for a while to repent and gain spiritual enlightenment.
I think all three examples are coming towards us sooner than we know and we are absolutely not ready for it. Soon it might be illegal to read or have a Bible. How long do you think the libraries will allow Bibles?
Of course there might be other reasons to suffer also except of the examples above.

Concentration camps and the mark of the beast
In the concentration camps there will probably be two different exits. One for those who accept the mark of the beast, RFDI microchip implant in the right arm or in the forehead. If you take this microchip they will let you stay alive and let you go. You will also go to hell for eternity when you die. The other exit will be for those who refuses to take the mark of the beast and rather die for their relation to Jesus Christ.
