Things to do without TV, mobile or computer

This page highlights things to do without TV, mobile or computer. It is sad how much today revolves around television, computers and mobile phones. There is so much fun you can do without an internet connection. The first games are things that don't require any equipment.

Lightning ring game
Suitable for 10-50 people. You stand in a circle and hold each other's hands. A person starts to send a handshake "lightning" with one hand to the person standing next to them. This person passes the handshake on to the person next to him/her and then the flash is allowed to go all the way around the ring until it returns to the starting person. You can do different rounds and take time.

Hide and seek
Suitable for three people and up. One person counts to 50 or 100. Everyone else runs away and hides. When the person has finished counting, he/she starts looking. If he/she has found a person, he/she must try to knock that person by saying: "knock for Erik 123" and at the same time knock with his hand in a place determined, when he/she stood and counted. People who are hiding should try to run to the dunk site without being detected and dunk themselves by dunking and saying: "dunk for me 123". When all are found and pounded, the game is over.

Rock bag scissors game
Suitable for two, possibly three people. You shake your fists in the air and say "1,2,3". On three, you fold out your hand in a sign. The sign for bag is a flat hand. The sign for stone is a clenched hand. The sign for scissors is two fingers as a V sign. The rock breaks the scissors so it wins over it. The scissors cut the bag so it wins over it. The bag closes and the stone wins over it. You run so many rounds until you get rid of it. You can drive the best out of 10.

Acrobatics - somersaults, standing on hands, etc.
There are many acrobatic exercises you can do. Stand on your hands, walk on your hands, stand on your head, go down the bridge, wheel, go down spagat. etc
Acrobatics - somersaults

The train is late
A few people stand in a line. A person stands 15-20 meters away by a wall. The person at the wall says: "the train is late". Then the others ask: "how many minutes?" Then the person at the wall answers, for example, "Four!". And then the person counts to four loudly with their head against the wall and the other people start running forward towards the wall. When the person reaches 4, he/she turns to the others. Anyone who then moves must go back and stand at the starting line again. Then repeat the same procedure. The people are getting closer and closer. The person who arrives first thumps the person at the wall in the back and then they switch so that the new person counts at the wall.

Hide key
There are a few people in a room. A person must hide a key or other small object such as a pen, comb or cutlery that everyone can see. Then everyone leaves the room and the hider hides the key/item. Must not be completely hidden, but must stick out a little so that you can see it. Then he/she calls everyone back into the room and indicates whether the object is hidden high up, in the middle or low, by the floor. Bird is high, Middle is in between and fish is at the floor. The game is over when the object is found. You take turns hiding.

Guess a person
A person thinks of a person. It's usually a celebrity but it doesn't have to be. It must be a person that you know the others know. Then the others start asking yes and no questions. For example, is it a man? Is it a Swedish one? Musician? The game is over when you have guessed which person you were thinking of. You take turns imagining a person.

Name chain
A person says a name, for example Karin. It ends in n, so the next person must say a name that starts with n, eg Niklas. It ends in s, so the next person must say a name that starts with s. You can use only girl's name or only boy's name. You can also run place names combined with cities and countries, anything that is a place that has a name, even neighborhoods like Östermalm or the Bronx.

Whole and half ghost
This game is very fun. You must build words and avoid being infected like a complete ghost. One person says a letter, eg s. The next person has to build on it. So the person says l because he/she is thinking about the end. Although you don't say out loud which word you think of. The next person might think of slush so he says a. Then we have sla. The next person might think of sludge so he/she says m. You must never complete a word. If you say m again, it becomes mud and it's a completed word, so then you become a half-ghost. If you go there again, you become a complete ghost, you are out of the game and can no longer say letters. But you are not completely out. You should try to talk to the others. If someone talks to a ghost, you first become a half-ghost. If you talk to the ghost again, you become a full ghost and are out of the game and on the same team as the other full ghost. You must now together try to talk to the others so that they become infected and become ghosts. You can thus partly become a half-ghost by failing to build words so that you complete a word. If you fail again, you become a full ghost or if you talk to a full ghost.

Charades
You have to use your body, without words, to express a message, a sentence that you get written down on a piece of paper. The others in the group stand by and try to guess what you are trying to say. Gestures, mimes, etc. are used.

Weigh salt
Two people of equal height stand with their backs to each other with arm hooked in both arms. One person bends forward so that the other person is lifted up. Then the other person bends forward so that the other person is lifted up and then you stand like that and rock for a while.

The whisper game
A few people sit in a ring. One person whispers a sentence in the other's ear. This person passes the whisper on to the person next to them. You continue like this until the whisper has gone around and then the whisper is read out loud, which has now often become something completely different from what it was at the beginning. Then you read out the original whisper as it was from the beginning.

Tickle under the hand
One person stands with outstretched hands and another guy under the palms. The person who is hitting suddenly stops and smacks the top of the palms and then the other person has to try to pull their hands away and avoid being hit.

Four people form a seat
There must be four people sitting on each chair. in a square. Then you have to lie on each other's knees as if in a kind of braid so that you hold each other up and you can remove the chairs.

Arm wrestling
You are two people sitting opposite each other at a table. You put your right hand at an angle and grab the other's hand. Then they will compete to break each other's hands down into the table surface. Whoever manages to break the other's arm wins.

Finger hook
You hook each other's index finger and pull. Whoever pulls the other person away wins.

Follow john
One person is John and goes first. Everyone else follows and makes the moves that John makes.

Improvisationsteater
Improvisational theater is a lot of fun. There are various exercises you can do. An exercise called colliding universes. It is simply two different worlds colliding with each other. A person might be on a job interview talking to another person who is on their first date. And so these two talk to each other based on their given situation. Or a person stands in goal at a football match. In front of him sits a man who is at home in his living room watching TV, trying to watch, the other is standing in the way of the TV!
